Pipe Jacking with
Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM)

 

This technique provides accurate installation of underground pipelines with minimal surface disruption.

It combines pipe jacking with a laser-guided, steerable tunnel bore machine (TBM). Hydraulic cylinders push specially designed jacking pipes or steel casings through the ground behind the TBM, which is manned by an operator who observes soil conditions and to monitors line and grade to ensure a precise installation.
