Seven sets of railroad tracks and I-15 is all that stood in the way of this sewer line project.
Nix tied the new lines into existing sewer, allowing the flexibility of collection systems through six manholes, each approximately 20 feet deep. Using tunnel bore techniques though 550 feet and open cutting an additional 800 feet was impressive enough to garner the Utah AGC Utility Project of the Year in 2005.
